Toole County Extension and the City of Shelby will be hosting a Fall Tree Care Workshop in Shelby on Oct. 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Marias River Electric Conference Room. Cascade County Extension Agent, Rose Malisani, will be presenting about shelterbelts and their care. Toole County Extension Agent, Kim Woodring, will be presenting about fall tree care basics.

Shelby runners shine at Great Falls

The Shelby Cross Country Team competed in Great Falls at one of the toughest courses in the state, and placed 5th in the girls’ JV competition. Placing second was eighth grader Aeris Stewart with the time 22:35. Ellie Munson placed 31st in a time of 26:51.86, Aiyana Franco placed 59th running 27:15.89 over the course, Aisha Munson placed 61st in a time of 27:22.31 and Alison Flores was 76th with the time 27:58.45.
