Tammy Longie, of Tokio, earlier pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, child abuse and neglect in the May 2020 death of Raven Thompson. His body was found the basement of Longie's home on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation.

Myron Wayne Kuske, 62, died at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo on August 8, 2022. He was born on June 15, 1960 to Orval and Margaret (Gross) Kuske in New Rockford, ND. They lived on a farm northeast of Carrington until the late 1960’s when the family moved to Carrington where he attended grade school and completed high school in New Rockford.

Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services for Virgil will be on Wednesday, August 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Tekakwitha Center in St. Michael, ND with Reverend Paul Schuster officiating. The procession to St. Michael will leave at 10:00 a.m. from City Plaza in Devils Lake.
