Reports of fight at Valhalla Mortuary in North Hollywood draws large police response

Police were called to Valhalla Mortuary in North Hollywood Monday afternoon after receiving reports of a large fight on the property. According to Los Angeles Police Department, officers were made aware of a domestic disturbance at the cemetery, located on 10621 Victory Boulevard at around 3:30 p.m.A police helicopter was dispatched to the scene and saw a large group fighting, but when ground units arrived the group dispersed. There was no word of any arrests made or if any injuries resulted from the altercation. This is a developing story. Woman struck and killed while crossing South LA street

A woman was struck and killed while walking in a crosswalk in South LA.The woman was crossing San Pedro near 106th Street when a vehicle slammed into her at about 10:14 p.m. Monday, according to police.The woman is believed to be about 25 years old and has not been identified. Police say the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.No arrests have been made.

An unidentified man was seen using his cellphone to take multiple pictures outside of Dunsmore Elementary School at around 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15. He was described as a 45- to 55-year-old white or Hispanic man with a medium build, standing 6 feet tall and wearing an orange T-shirt with “Arizona” printed on the back and a black helmet, and was driving a motorcycle with a red or orange tank, raised handlebars and a passenger backrest.
