Power of the Purse

ZANESVILLE, OH- The Power of the Purse continues to make an impact on our community after fifteen years. Today at the Muskingum County Community Foundation the event organizers announced that the around 100 purses auctioned off brought in around 75-thousand dollars. The money was given to several non-profits, Eastside Community Ministry, Christ’s Table, the Muskingum County Community Foundation, the Fieldhouse Foundation and Habitat for Humanity. Organizer for Power of the Purse, Marlene Henderson, spoke about why this event is important.

Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center honors multiple area school districts

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center (MVESC) recently celebrated its 25-year anniversary. As part of the celebration, 12 MVESC member districts were honored recognizing their 25 years of service to students in the Muskingum Valley Region, including Crooksville, New Lexington and Northern. COSHOCTON − A Warsaw woman was sentenced Thursday in Coshocton County Common Pleas Court for using a knife in a domestic incident earlier this year. Amanda F. Reichley, 39, was indicted in February with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, from an incident on Feb. 3.
