NEW LONDON – A New London Superior Court judge on Tuesday granted the motions of two attorneys to separately withdraw from a pair of serious pending cases. Judge Hillary Strackbein agreed to allow attorney Michael Blanchard to stop representing Shawn Delcastillo and appointed a public defender in the first-degree assault case that stemmed from an August shooting in Norwich that left a man with a leg wound.
