NORWALK — NAMI Huron County is merging with NAMI Northwest. NAMI Huron County was founded by the late Larry McGlinchy, who, like many family members caring for a loved one with mental illness, found getting help frustrating and isolating. He began NAMI Huron County as a way to provide the help he, and so many others, desperately needed. NAMI Huron County has provided invaluable services to Huron County residents, and officials are excited to expand the services, programming and resources available to their community with the NAMI Northwest merger.

NORWALK — Main Street will shut down for two hours Saturday evening so church members can show love to the people of Norwalk. Jeff Watson, pastor of Norwalk’s Foundation Church, said Love Norwalk, an annual charitable event, will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., with donations of goods and services and fun events for everyone. The religiously-themed celebration will feature the efforts of eight area churches, including his own, Watson said.
