Norwalk City Council Approves Prioritized Park Projects

Norwalk, CA – On March 15, 2022, the Norwalk City Council unanimously approved to make an amendment to the fiscal year 2021/22 adopted budget to appropriate funds for prioritized park projects. The City Council was presented with a master list of projects for City parks on February 22, 2022. With the approval of the prioritization for park projects, each park would have at least one project completed from the master list of projects.

City of Norwalk Passes Speed Hump Policy

Norwalk, CA – On March 15, 2022, the Norwalk City Council unanimously approved a speed hump policy for the City of Norwalk. With direction given from the City Council, this policy was created to provide an approach to address neighborhood traffic safety concerns. This will help deal with neighborhood speeding and will require a consensus among the immediate neighborhood requesting the implementation of a speed hump.

Norwalk Proclaims Feb. 22, 2022 Penny Brothers’ Day

Norwalk, CA – On March 15, 2022, the City of Norwalk proclaimed February 22, 2022 as Penny Brothers’ Day in honor of NFL stars Elijhaa and Rashaad Penny. Both gentlemen are alumnus of Norwalk High School. Elijhaa graduated in 2011 and Rashaad graduated in 2014. Both wore jersey number twenty-two, which was retired last month by Norwalk High School on February 22, 2022.

Norwalk Selects Its New Mayor and Vice Mayor
