Who is Rod Wave? Upstart rapper/singer captivates fans at sold-out concert

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Rod Wave has one of the biggest-selling hip-hop albums of 2021. But you’ve still probably never heard of him. The St. Petersburg, Fla. rapper/singer doesn’t have any massive hits. Nor has he been featured on your favorite pop star’s latest album. But if you were at Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica in Cleveland on Friday night, you might assume he was one of the biggest music acts in the world. Reunited: Runaway emu is back with its owner, Willoughby Hills police say

WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio (WJW) — A local police department’s search for a loose emu in Northeast Ohio is now over. The Willoughby Hills police department took to Facebook Wednesday evening to say that an emu, a flightless bird native to Australia that’s not too unlike an ostrich, was on the loose. The bird was reportedly seen in the Maple Grove and Maple Hills area.

Trick or Treat Haunted Trail

The Trick or Treat Haunted Trail is back by popular demand and will be held Friday, Oct. 22, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Westlake Recreation Center. The outside trail will be decorated for the occasion and include plenty of treat stops set up along the way. Wear your favorite costume and you just might scare those creatures back into the woods. 5K Saturday in Wakeman

WAKEMAN — The Wakeman Fit Club has put together a 5K to help raise money for a shade structure that will help protect Wakeman’s outdoor fitness court. The 5K will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday and cost is $25. They will be awarding top 3 place medals to the fastest in each age category, for both male and female. They will also be awarding a $100 cash prize to the fastest male and the fastest female of the day. The Western Reserve art department will be doing face paintings for the children and you can check out the new playground that was just installed this month. There will also be door prizes handed out and your registration will be your ticket.
