Lee County boating accident leaves one dead

LEE COUNTY, Fla.— A Fort Myers man died after a boating incident Saturday. The 54-year-old man was operating a 22-foot open vessel when he fell into the water. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) reported a single vessel boating accident on the gulf side, near the Sanibel C-span, in Lee County at 4:45 p.m. The FWC, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Sanibel Police Department, and Cape Coral Fire Department responded to the scene.
