Westfield man arrested on multiple warrants

A Westfield man who was wanted on multiple warrants from a previous incident was located by Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies today. Deputies say 51-year-old Edward Wood was wanted on charges that include 2nd-degree strangulation, criminal mischief, 2nd-degree menacing, and 2nd-degree assault. Deputies located Wood inside a residence on Felton Road. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

Sinclairville Man Arrested on Menacing and Weapon Possession Charges

A Sinclairville man was taken into custody late Thursday morning during a warrant check. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies arrested 26-year-old Austin Schwab shortly after 11:30 AM on a warrant charging him with 2nd-degree menacing and 4th-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Schwab was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

Jamestown man charged with criminal contempt after traffic stop

New York State Police charged a Jamestown man with criminal contempt in the 2nd degree after he and another individual were pulled over on Route 60 in the Town of Pomfret for a traffic violation last Saturday. State Troopers say an investigation revealed that both vehicles were traveling together and that the other driver was the protected party in a stay-away order of protection against 21-year-old Frank Strohauer. Strohauer was placed under arrest, transported to SP Fredonia and processed. Strohauer was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Pomfret Town Court.
