Woman in critical condition after being shot inside a car in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A woman is in critical condition Sunday morning after police say she was shot several times in West Philadelphia. The shooting happened just before 5:30 a.m. at 54th and Race Streets.Police say the woman was sitting inside a car when she was shot multiple times. She was transported to Presbyterian Hospital where she was placed in critical condition.No one has been arrested.

Police: Teen Charged Following Assault in Abraxas Dorm

HOWE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – An 18-year-old male is facing charges after he allegedly assaulted a youth at the Abraxas Facility in Marienville. Court documents indicate that Marienville-based State Police filed criminal charges against 18-year-old Kendell Mehki Blunt, of Norristown, on Thursday, December 1, in Magisterial District Judge Daniel L. Miller’s office.

Pottstown Woman Arrested for Trespass in Perkiomen

PERKIOMEN TOWNSHIP PA – A 49-year-old Pottstown woman was arrested Friday (Dec. 2, 2022) at 2:06 p.m. by Pennsylvania State Police for alleged simple trespass, after troopers determined she violated a protection-from-abuse order obtained against her by a former boyfriend, a Merion Lane resident. The male victim, who was not identified by name or age, had called 9-1-1 dispatchers for assistance.

Now Pennsylvania State Police have released images of two individuals they’re looking for in the incidents, and a reward was offered Friday (Dec. 2, 2022) for public help in finding them.

2-Alarm fire destroys Delaware County home

DARBY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- A 2-Alarm fire destroys a house in Delaware County during the night from Saturday into Sunday. The call came in after midnight to a home on Sharon Avenue in Darby Township.When officials arrived, the house was heavily burning and smoke came from the dwelling. It took firefighters about an hour to place the fire under control.There are no reports of injuries.The cause of the fire is under investigation.

27 Charged with Large-Scale Drug Trafficking in Berks, Surrounding Counties

Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams and Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele announced Thursday that twenty-seven defendants were charged with operating a large-scale drug trafficking organization in Berks, Montgomery, and other surrounding counties. Individuals were arrested Thursday in an early-morning round-up. The defendants were charged with committing offenses involving violations of the PA Crimes Code and the PA Controlled Substance Act, delivery of controlled substances which included bulk amounts of heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activity, corrupt organization, and criminal use of communication facility. The arrest warrants were issued by Magisterial District Judge Priscilla Campos.
