61-year-old Williamsville man arrested on child pornography charge

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 61-year-old Williamsville man has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography by a criminal complaint. The United States Attorney’s office says Christopher Robbins was allegedly part of a Kik instant messenger group where photos and videos of child porn were digitally exchanged. An officer with the FBI Milwaukee field office gained access to the group and identified Robbins, who allegedly went by the screen name “winesnob1223” on the instant messenger, as receiving and distributing images of child porn.

Two people rescued after climbing to top of Cargill Grain elevator

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo police say two people were rescued after climbing onto the Cargill Grain elevator Wednesday night. Police responded to the scene on Ohio Street around 11:30 p.m. There, they say two people climbed up to the top of the elevator before one of them suffered from a medical condition and became trapped.

Niagara Falls woman to serve 3-9 years for fatal crash into house

A woman whose car smashed into a Niagara Falls house at about 70 mph, killing one passenger and severely injuring another, will serve three to nine years in state prison. State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. said an investigation showed that Hailey Jamieson Schultz, 20, was under the influence of marijuana and cocaine at the time of the crash on Walnut Avenue near 21st Street on April 22, 2020.

The man who kidnapped a Buffalo woman in an armed attack downtown had been indicted. This is every woman's worst nightmare! The frightening incident happened downtown on August 11, 2021, in broad daylight, just before 9 am. Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced that the suspect, 32-year-old Christopher L. Taylor of Buffalo, has been charged in the scary attack. He allegedly kidnapped a woman from a parking lot on Pearl Street. He brandished a weapon and forced the victim into his car at gunpoint. He then placed a blindfold over her eyes and took her to an unknown residence.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 17-year-old from Buffalo was in court last Thursday to face charges for allegedly bringing an illegal loaded handgun inside the Walden Galleria. The Erie County District Attorney’s office, which has not named the teenager, says on September 8 around 3:53 p.m. that Cheektowaga Police responded to a report of a man with a handgun inside the shopping center.
