Raymond J. Sanders 94, October 17, 1927 to October 1, 2022, Born in Riverside, RI to Nellie (English) and Matthew F. Sanders, he is the son of a railroad engineer and a loving mother. Raymond was one of six boys. His five brothers were John, William, Donald, Jerry and Edward. All of whom predeceased their middle brother. A child of the depression Ray grew up Riverside. He attended public school, participated in sports, worked at the Crescent Park Pony Barn, attended St Brendan’s . He was elected the 1937 Riverside Boys Club “Boy of the Year.” He loved Narragansett Bay and was an accomplished waterman. He is a World War II Veteran and served as a US Navy Motor Mechanic in the Pacific Theater from 1945 to 1947. In 1949 he courted and married Carolyn Leach of Riverside. Whom he had his eye on since the fifth grade. Mrs. & Mrs. Sanders were married for 59 years until her death in 2009. Ray served successfully as the president of Leach Refractories Company and R.J. Sanders, Inc both of East Providence, RI. Raymond is a 1981 Graduate of The University of RI and was a long-time seasonal resident of Freedom, NH. He is a past President of Seggregansett Country Club in Dighton, MA, and a past member of the Board of Directors of Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, RI. He was a member of the Country Club of Brunswick, GA and had close ties to the communities of Brunswick and St Simons Island.
Donald Bucco, 69, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was the husband of the late JoAnn (Angelone) Bucco. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Harry and Genevieve A. (Gannon) Bucco. Donald was employed as an electrician with the MBTA in Boston, retiring in 2017. His career spanned 44 years and started with Amtrak. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 674 and a member of the Corvette Club of RI. He is survived by his beloved daughter Ashley L. Cordle and husband Matthew J. Cordle, EGPD, and his grandchildren Mason and Wes Cordle. He was the brother of David Bucco (Lisa Mancini), Peter Bucco (Donna), Dennis Bucco (Maddie McHenry), Donna Taylor (Mike), Paula Bucco and the late Carol Perry. He was also the brother-in-law of Paula Angelone, PhD, and Gerald Rosengarten.

Willow Sienna Dryden, age 4, passed away unexpectedly on August 28th. She is the beloved daughter of Christopher Dryden and Nicole Rabideau. Willow would light up the room with her big smile and beautiful brown eyes. She loved being with her family and going on their yearly vacations to Disney World. She enjoyed jumping on the trampoline, going to the playground, making videos and cuddling with the dogs and her big sister, Natasha. She always looked forward to weekend morning runs to get breakfast with her big brother Dominic who always loved looking after her. Willow was a pre-school student at Aitken Elementary in Seekonk and was loved by all her friends and teachers.
Campopiano, Hazel M., 94, formerly of Johnston and Bristol, passed away September 28, 2022 after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Remo Campopiano. Joseph A. Pangborn, Jr. 89, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of the late Judith A. (Hammarlund) Pangborn. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph A. Sr. and Cecelia (Mathers) Pangborn. Mr. Pangborn was a Mechanical Engineer at Twin River Casino before he retired. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as a flight engineer with the 5th Air Force during the Korean War and after with the Strategic Air Command. He was a 1950 graduate of LaSalle Academy and attended Providence College on a Rhode Island Golf Caddy Scholarship. He met and married the love of his life, Judith A. Hammarlund to whom he was married for 62 years. Mr. Pangborn was involved in many civic organizations. He was past Chairman of the East Providence Citizen Advisory Commission and past Chairman of the East Providence Economic Development Commission. He was an East Providence Special Police Officer for 20 years and was also the recording secretary for the East Providence Special Police Lodge #1. He was a former member of the Metacomet Country Club, Segragansett Country Club and the Silver Spring Country Club. He was a member of the East Providence Council 1528, Knights of Columbus.
Arthur N. Alexander, Jr., 97, formerly of Warwick Avenue, Cranston, died Thursday at the Rhode Island Veterans home in Bristol. Born in Providence, a son of the late Arthur and Madeline (Srocco) Alexander, he had been a lifelong resident of Providence and Cranston. Mr. Alexander worked for Federal Chain for many years before his retirement in 1985.
