Man throws alcohol at Westminster restaurant workers while trying to steal food

A Westminster restaurant owner pushed back when a man walked into her closed store and tried to steal food.Police are looking for the suspect, who walked into Prepped With Love in Westminster on Sunday night. Security video shows the man walking into the closed restaurant, where three women were working, and walking straight to the refrigerators, where some prepared meals were stored. The store owner's daughter first pushed a prep table at him and kept it between them. The store owner then ran up and pushed the man away from the opened refrigerator with a plastic storage container. "He was very physical with pushing the table back, not only that, but he also had an open can of alcohol which he actually threw at my face," employee Mary Dao said. "It fell all over me and all over the floor."Suspect information was not released, but video shows the man wore red shorts and a blue or gray T-shirt with writing on the back.

Former church worker from La Mirada arrested in child pornography investigation

A former church worker has been charged with felony counts of possessing child pornography, and investigators believe he may have more victims.Andrew Williams, 33, of La Mirada, was arrested last Wednesday and booked on several counts of possessing child pornography following a months-long investigation by West Covina police, the Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the U.S. Marshals Service. West Covina police say he has since been charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.According to Los Angeles County sheriff's jail records, Williams is being held without bail. He is scheduled to make his next court appearance Thursday.Police say Williams previously worked at a church, most recently worked in San Dimas, and has previously lived in Costa Mesa. Because of where he used to work, detectives believe there may be potential physical victims and have released a booking photo of Williams.Anyone with information about the investigation can contact West Covina police Detective Iside at (626) 939-8735.

A 31-year-old woman that was transported from the Little Nell to Aspen Valley Hospital, where she later died, has been identified. Alexandra Turner, of Newport Beach, California, was visiting friends in Aspen, Aspen Police Detective Rick Magnuson confirmed Tuesday morning, adding that Turner's next of kin had been notified of her death.
