MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Mayor Jacob Frey is recommending that residents and visitors wear masks indoors in Minneapolis as Hennepin County is now seeing substantial transmission of COVID-19, which health officials attribute to the Delta variant. New policies that go into effect Wednesday require Minneapolis city employees to wear masks indoors and mandate that masks be worn inside all city buildings. Senate requests outside investigation of harassment claim

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota Senate Democrats have asked that an outside investigator look into allegations of sexual harassment made by a former staff member. Senate leaders say an internal evaluation of the claim would not instill confidence in its results. A former aide to a senator says she was harassed by another legislative staff member.

St. Paul Police Search For Missing Man With Dementia

MINNESOTA (WCCO) – St. Paul Police are asking for help locating a man who went missing on Wednesday. Patrick Albert McNeely left his home in North St. Paul around 1 a.m. in his vehicle, a tan 2012 Chevy Silverado with a Minnesota license plate reading DDD294. He also left his phone and ID at home. McNeely is said to suffer with dementia and is often in a confused state. At 10:07 a.m. McNeely used his credit card at the Kwik Trip in Arbor Vitae, Wisconsin. Enhanced Unemployment Benefits End In One Month

ST. PAUL -- The enhanced unemployment benefits will come to an end one month from Wednesday. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says if you are receiving the unemployment benefits through Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation, or Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, and are receiving an additional $300 a week on top of your regular unemployment benefits, the last week those additional benefits will be available is the week ending September 4th.
