Save up to $0.60 per gallon - survey shows cheapest gas station in Omaha

(OMAHA, NE) For bargain hunters there may be no better target than gas, with the cheapest station in the Omaha area offering savings of $0.60 per gallon. According to a survey by GasBuddy, MegaSaver at 7205 Lawndale Dr was the cheapest station in the area, with regular listed at $2.79 per gallon at the pumps Wednesday. That was compared to Mega Saver at 6000 Grover St, where a gallon of regular was selling for $3.39.

Former Nebraska walk-on hopes to serve as governor

A former Husker walk-on who is finishing his second term as a Nebraska state senator hopes to serve as the state’s next governor. Sen. Brett Lindstrom of Omaha visited Hastings last week as part of an effort to travel the state and meet as many voters as he can face to face. He currently represents northwest Omaha in the Legislature and wants to take the experience he’s learned there to help the state as a whole.

WOODBINE – The Audubon Wheelers finished the regular season with a win over Woodbine 49-24. While Woodbine struck first, making the score 8-0 over the Wheelers with 4:33 left in the first quarter-thanks a touchdown pass to senior Paul Freund, Audubon responded with their own touchdown - a touchdown run by senior Gavin Smith- with 43 seconds left in the quarter. The score was now Woodbine 8, Audubon 7 as the quarter ended. Smith would add Audubon’s second score with 7 seconds in the first half, giving them the lead - Audubon 14, Woodbine 8.
