Ronald Lawrence Carlson

NEW HARTFORD – Ronald “Ron” Lawrence Carlson, 74, passed away unexpectedly at home on Oct. 6, 2022. Born in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, on Feb. 20,1948, he was the son of the late Richard D. Carlson and Rita M. (Smith) Getchell and resided in Naugatuck for many years. He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School, Class of 1966 where he enjoyed playing the trumpet in the school band.

Mary Alice (Coelho) Ramos

MERIDEN — Mary Alice (Coelho) Ramos, age 97, widow of Joseph L. Ramos, passed away peacefully at Complete Care of Meriden. Born in Angola, Africa, on Dec. 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Noemia (Dias) Coelho. Mary Alice had lived most of her life in Naugatuck with her family. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Waterbury.

George W. Bundock

NAUGATUCK — Our beloved father George William Bundock, of Naugatuck, left this earth peacefully after a long battle with kidney cancer and a well-lived life. A fighter until the end, George passed away on Nov. 17, 2022, at the age of 75 years. His ashes will be placed at a location of his choosing and close family will have a private gathering as opposed to traditional services.

Former Ridgefield resident Carol Green, 79, has died

Carol Ann Green, 79, of New Milford, formerly of Maine died on November 21, 2022 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of Peter L. Green who passed away in Maine in 2020. Carol was born in Danbury, on December 20, 1942; the daughter of the late Donald and Marjorie (Wilson) Paris. Carol lived in Ridgefield most of her life and moved to Maine in 1991 with her husband.

WATERBURY — Elizabeth A. Baslak, 87, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, at Waterbury Gardens. Mrs. Baslak was born July 10, 1935, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (McSweet) Townsend. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. As a longtime resident of Oxford, she was employed for many years at Peter Paul Cadbury in Naugatuck. She was known for her love of the beach, Almond Joys, and bowling as well as spoiling her cats.

Healy DDS; infant son, Thomas; parents, Anna (Warmbier) and William Miller; brothers, Harry and Les; and infant granddaughter, Rachel Empie. Cherishing her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, James and Anita Healy of Wyomissing, Pa.; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Mark Empie of Loudon, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Christian) Sockel, Elizabeth (Neil) Thrush, Caitlin (Shawn) Massey and Christopher Empie; six great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and longtime friends.

Barbara Sherman Hunicke

Barbara Sherman (Plummer) Hunicke, 99, died peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at her daughter Sara’s home in Harvard. Barbara was born in New York, New York, in April of 1923, and adopted by Joseph Augustus Plummer and Freda Currier (Sherman) Plummer of Cranford, New Jersey. She spent her childhood years in Cranford, and summers at the New Jersey shore until her parents purchased a farm in Grafton, Vermont, a town that became an important part of the Plummers’ lives. After graduating with an associate degree from Bradford Junior College in Bradford (now Haverhill), she volunteered during World War II to serve in the Navy. She was a WAVE (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) for three years, serving in Washington, D.C., for the Bureau of Ships until March 1946. After the war, she met Ray Hunicke at a friend’s home in Cranford, and they married on May 17, 1947.

Dorothy R. LeHouillier, 87, widow of Raoul LeHouillier, of Bristol, passed away on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born on Sept. 15, 1935 in Waterbury, VT, the daughter of the late Alson and Julia (Gifford) Reynolds; the second youngest of 12 children. She was a resident of Bristol since 1955. Dorothy was employed at Southern New England Telephone for more than 22 years until her retirement in 1996. She was an avid reader, loved music of every genre, and enjoyed watching all black and white Turner Classic Movies.

Born in New Britain on Jan. 25, 1928, Tony was the elder son and second of six children born to the late Joseph and Maria (Arena) Lazzaro,. He lived in New Britain all his life. Tony attended local schools, including New Britain High School – where he sat second chair in the clarinet section. He long credited his band director, Frederick “Doc” Mirliani, for instilling in him a profound sense of drive and commitment.
