Mary Cutler

Mary (Cope) Cutler, 93, formerly of Bristol, passed peacefully Friday evening, Nov. 26, 2021 at UConn Medical Center. She was the wife of Myron Cutler. Mary was born in Bristol on Oct. 23, 1928 the daughter of the late John and Aloise (Fries) Cope. Mary had been a customer service representative for area insurance agencies. Mary liked to play golf, traveling, playing the piano and operating her HAM radio license KA1JCG. Besides her husband, Mary leaves her children, John Cutler and Deborah Cutler, a sister Susanna Melanson and three grandchildren, Sarah and Lucas J. Cutler and Mary McMahon. Mary will be cremated and a portion of her cremated remains will be sent to the surface of the moon and a portion to deep space beyond the earth/moon system. Debra I. Dunican

Debra I. Dunican, 52, of Wolcott, beloved wife of Matthew E. Dunican, died on Tuesday (Nov. 23, 2021) at St. Mary Hospital, Waterbury. Debra was born on May 21, 1969 in New Britain and was a daughter of the late Thomas and Lois (White) LaBarre. She was raised in Bristol and formerly lived in Bristol before moving to Wolcott. She enjoyed caring for her children and was a second mom to many.

Nardito S. Asido

Nardito S. Asido, 84, of Bristol, widower of Teresita S. Asido, died on Tuesday (Nov. 23, 2021) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Nardito was born on August 20, 1937 in Naga City Camarines Sur., Philippines and was a son of the late Luis G. Asido, Sr. and Remedios (Soque) Asido. He was raised and lived in the Philippines until moving to Bristol in the mid 1970’s when he went to work for New England Airfoil Products as an Engineer. He also worked for Textron and Superior Electric before retiring. He attended St. Matthew Church in Bristol. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, and watching action movies. He loved watching sporting events especially baseball and basketball, and spending time with his grandchildren.

AnnaBelle Secor, 93, a three-year resident of Bethel, CT, formerly a longtime resident of Millbrook, NY, died on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Bethel Health Care Center in Bethel, CT surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 17, 1928 in Millbrook, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Belle (Martin) Dunn. On September 2, 1948 in Baltimore, MD, she married Robert Secor who died in June 2009.

Carol DeNigris

Carol (Paradis) DeNigris passed away at home surrounded by her family on Nov. 20, 2021. Carol lived in Bristol, where she raised her two daughters with her late loving husband Anthony. Carol and Anthony owned and operated Carol's Gift Shop on Main St. in Bristol for over 50 years. Carol leaves behind her daughters and their husbands Carolyn and John Bellantuono and Donna and Bruce Robida, her dearly loved six grandchildren, Anthony and Gia Bellantuono, and Jeffrey, Christopher, Daniel, and Diana Bachand, brother George Paradis, and her sister-in-law Carol Paradis. Carol will always be an inspiration to those she loved; her enthusiasm for the world around her sparked wonder and joy in all who shared her company. Her funeral was held on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at St. Anthony Church in Bristol, with committal service at St. Joseph Cemetery. DuPont Funeral Home, Bristol, was in charge of the arrangements.

Town of Trumbull Mourns the Loss of Edward “Ted” Lovely

Edward "Ted" Coughlin Lovely, age 88, of Trumbull, Connecticut, beloved husband of Nancy Michalka Lovely, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. A lifelong area resident, Ted was born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He graduated from Fairfield College Preparatory School (Fairfield, CT), where he was a member of the basketball team and captain of the track team. He then went on to attend the United States Naval Academy (Annapolis, MD), where he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant of the United States Air Force, Office of Special Investigations. He received a Master of Arts in Mathematics and Certificate of Advanced Study from Fairfield University (Fairfield, CT).

Peter Michael Turek

Peter Michael Turek passed through death into Life on November 23, 2021, at his home in Colington Harbour, after a brave journey through a long illness. He was 90. He was born on July 4, 1931, in New Britain, CT, the first generation son of Czechoslovakian immigrant parents, Michael Turek and Mary Bobko Turek, who predeceased him. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Mary Turek and Irene Turek, his first wife Mary Patricia O’Hara Turek, his sons Michael Turek and Patrick Anthony Turek, and his grandson Patrick “PJ” Lennon. Surviving are his wife Eve Turek of the home, son Peter Christopher Turek and wife Judy; daughters Faith Marie Turek and Mary Ann Taylor; and grandchildren Dennis Taylor II, Michael Pryor, Patrick Taylor, and Hannah Lennon. Also surviving is a stepson Jason Rowland and stepgrandchildren Gabriel and Cash Rowland.

Thomas N. Stepanec

Thomas N. Stepanec of Lincoln, ME, formerly of New Britain and Bristol, passed away peacefully amongst family on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Bangor Hospital. He was born January 24, 1964 in New Britain, CT, the son of Mykola and Genevieve (Tylka) Stepanec. In addition to his mother, Thomas will be greatly missed by his wife of 31 years, Jane (Krapf) Stepanec; a son, Timothy Stepanec; two step sons, Robert W. Donath and Thomas Donath; three granddaughters on whom he doted and who lovingly called him Didi: Desirae Donath, Eliza Beth Donath and Faith Stepanec; two sisters, Lucy Sokolsky and her husband Orest and Elizabeth Marcello and her husband John; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Thomas was predeceased by his father.

OXFORD — Eugene John Bizewski, Jr., 78, of Oxford, died peacefully on November 26, 2021, at Griffin Hospital. Born on October 30, 1943, in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Eugene John and Helen Mary Holewinski Bizewski. Mr. Bizewski was raised in Bridgeport and was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for more than 40 years at the University of Bridgeport, retiring in 2005 as the supervisor of the Facilities Maintenance Department.
