Batesville Boys 8th Grade Basketball

The Batesville boys 8th grade basketball team hosted the Greendale Middle School Tigers last night. The Bulldogs played some great defense in the game which led to them winning by a score of 43 to 24. The score at half was 22 to 16 with the Dogs holding the lead. After halftime the Bulldogs opened up their lead by scoring 15 points in the 3rd quarter, most of which came from the defensive pressure applied by the Dogs. Scoring in the contest for the Bulldogs were Kamryn Holcomb with 14 points, James Hughes 7, Rylan Yeager 6, Braydin Hughes 6, Caleb Laker 4, Carson Hartley 4, and Isaac Weber 2.The win brings the Bulldogs record on the season to 9 wins and 1 loss. The Dogs next play this Saturday in The Reindeer Round-Up Tournament at Waldron High School.

TWO INJURED BY GUNSHOTS IN FAYETTE COUNTY

(Fayette County, IN)--Two people suffered gunshot injuries overnight in Fayette County. Very little information has been released so far, but, according to scanner traffic, officers and medics were sent to a southern Fayette County location where they found two injured people at around 11:30 Wednesday night. A medical helicopter landed in the Nulltown area at midnight. There’s no word on the identity of the victims, their current conditions, or whether or not any arrests have been made.

JV Lady Cats improve to 7-2

Girls Junior Varsity basketball improved to 7-2 on the season with a win over Harrison (OH). The JV Lady Cats came out slow on offense, the score at the end of the first quarter was 4-0. A strong second quarter put the JV Lady Cats up 20-4 at half. The ladies played with a great effort in the early Saturday game. It was a well balanced scoring effort, and everyone stepped up and played well! The JV will be back in action on Tuesday, December 6th at home against Richmond at 6pm.
