A routine traffic stop in Maryland led to the arrest of a man and woman who were busted with drugs by a police K9 in Calvert County, authorities announced. Lusby residents Kevin Casswell Gregory, 41, and Alexa Kirsten Freemen, were arrested by members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office following a stop in the area of Laurel Way near the intersection of Bay View Drive in Lusby for a vehicle and traffic violation.

Salisbury man arrested on felony drug charges in Delaware

VIOLA, Del. – A Salisbury man is behind bars on felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Delaware. At around 10 p.m. Friday, troopers on patrol observed a black 2018 Acura TLX traveling southbound on South Dupont Highway, approaching Viola, that failed to use its turn signal when he conducted a lane change. A traffic stop was initiated, and contact was made with the driver, identified as 43-year-old Caheim Drake. During the stop, the Delaware State Police canine conducted a free-air scan of the Acura and alerted to the presence of an odor of narcotics.

Local organizations team up to improve living conditions for low-income, senior homeowners

SALISBURY, Md. – Two local organizations are teaming up to ensure more homeowners have access to safe and healthy living environments. Earlier this year, the Salisbury Neighborhood Housing Services (SNHS) board of directors donated $20,000 of their rehab fund to Chesapeake Housing Mission (CHM). In June, SNHS submitted a grant application to its chartering organization, NeighborWorks America, to add to those funds. NeighborWorks American agreed to provide an additional $25,000 in grant money to CHM.
