COVID-19 deaths rising in Illinois

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WTVO) — It was a deadly day Monday for COVID-19 in Illinois. 78 people died. It was the most deaths reported for a single day since 102 were reported on February 11. There were also almost 7,100 new cases. The seven-day statewide test positivity was 5.5%.
