Police: 66-year-old Illinois man dead after boat crash on Lake Geneva

LINN, Wis. (CBS 58) --- A 66-year-old Illinois man is dead after two boats collided on Geneva Lake in the town of Linn on Saturday, Oct. 16. Officials say Geneva Lake police were informed of two boats that collided and one person was critically injured with CPR in progress on Geneva Lake around 7 a.m. The boats involved in the crash went directly to a private pier on Basswood Drive.

Statewide Amber Alert Issued for Missing Child

MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — An Amber Alert for a missing and endangered 3-year-old boy from La Crosse has been expanded statewide. The Milwaukee Police Department said Major Harris was last seen Oct. 9 in La Crosse, and may have traveled to Milwaukee sometime between then and Oct. 12. They say an area of interest is North 37th Street in Milwaukee.

Dogs land in Waukesha; hurricane impacted Louisiana shelters

Coldest night of the season is expected

This has been an unusually warm start to meteorological fall. So far, it's the warmest start to fall and October on record. Overnight lows have been well above normal. This morning Milwaukee dropped into the 40s for the first time since May 30th. That's the longest stretch on record. A clear sky and a light wind will allow most areas to fall into the upper 30s and lower 40s by Sunday morning.

MPD: Fatal crash, 26-year-old Milwaukee woman strikes tree and light pole

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal crash that happened on Saturday, October 16, near Silver Spring Drive and Fond du Lac Avenue. According to police, a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman was traveling Northwest on Fond du Lac, when she lost control of her vehicle, striking a tree and light pole. It happened just before 12:30 a.m.
