PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University football coach Nick Rolovich has chosen not to receive a COVID-19 vaccine for personal reasons. “I have elected not to receive a COVID-19 vaccine for reasons which will remain private,” wrote Rolovich. “While I have made my own decision, I respect that every individual – including our coaches, staff and student-athletes – can make his or her own decision regarding the vaccine.”

Pilot dies in small plane crash in western Idaho

LEWISTON, Idaho. (AP) — Authorities say one person died when a single-engine airplane crashed and started on fire at an airport in western Idaho. The Lewiston Tribune reports Lewiston Fire Department Chief Travis Myklebust says the department responded at 12:11 p.m. Saturday to a plane crash at the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport. Crews found the airplane on fire.

Body found in Snake River near Granite Point

PULLMAN, Wash. - A body was recovered from the Snake River Saturday evening near Granite Point, according to Whitman County Sheriff's Office. Local sheriff and fire crews responded to a 911 call reporting a man in the water near the shoreline but were unable to find him using boats and jet skis.
