Council Grove is a small city and the county seat of Morris County in the US state of Kansas. Three Emporians were arrested in Morris County after an alleged chase outside Council Grove shortly before midnight Saturday night. Morris County Sheriff Jay Simecka says deputies tried to stop a suspicious pickup at the intersection of Lake and Dam Roads, but the driver failed to stop — starting a roughly 15-minute chase that ended near South 200 Road and X Avenue, between Council Grove and Bushong. Deputies reported finding illegal drugs in the truck after it was stopped.
