UPDATE- Deputies arrived on scene within minutes of the shooting call and identified the suspect as Malcolm Carl Young, age 46 of Forestville. Young was quickly taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown and charged with the following in the death of Anthony Charles Wright, age 53 of Great Mills.

WASHINGTON, DC (7News) — A 53-year-old man died after he was shot multiple times Tuesday in St. Mary's County, police said. The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office said that they arrived to the 21600 block of Great Mills road in Lexington Park around 5:52 p.m. Tuesday and found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Lifesaving measures were attempted, and the victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, police added.

CLINTON, Md. — A two-year missing person mystery has been solved after human remains found in a Prince George's County forest months ago have been identified. The family of Casino Gaskins, who was 23 when he went missing, said police notified them Monday that remains found in Clinton, Maryland in December of 2021 are his. But the Gaskins family is raising questions about the way authorities in Prince George’s County handled the case. They say investigators believed the case to be a death by suicide.
