Driver injured from early morning car incident in Carlton County

On Sunday, August 7, 2022, at 4:02 A.M. Carlton County Sheriff’s Office and Fire responded to an incident in Wrenshall Township. A 2017 Nissan Sentra was traveling East on Highway 23 near milepost 324 when it exited the roadway to the left and collided with some trees. The driver of the vehicle was a 23-year-old male.

Man sentenced to prison for breaking into St. Peter electrical box

A man was reportedly electrocuted while stealing parts from a St. Peter electrical box. Travis John Olson, 37, of Moose Lake, pleaded guilty to one count of felony energy or telecom damage or theft and one count of misdemeanor theft. All other charges against Olson were dismissed. Vehicle Crash West of Aitkin Kills 17-Year-Old Boy

A 17-year-old boy from Kettle River died on Saturday during a crash at 9:36 a.m. in Rabbit Lake Township. According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, Sebastien Blondo, 17, was traveling eastbound on Highway 210 in his 1995 Jeep Wrangler near County Road 32. A 2008 Lincoln MKX driven by Curtis Watson, 75, of Aitkin was driving westbound in the same area. The Jeep ended up crossing the middle line and struck the Lincoln.
