You can't miss it when you're on I-90 heading west towards the Idaho border. If you've taken any trip from Montana to Coeur d'Alene or Spokane, you've definitely seen the signs and the building itself. I'm talking about the 50,000 Silver Dollar Bar. Have you been? I've never followed through on the urge to pull in and check it out. Should I? If you follow the advise of this article - it isn't worth the time. But do I believe the article?

Welcome to Montana. Please Don’t Shoot the Pretend Animals

If you have ever made the drive between Missoula and Great Falls on Montana Highway 200 then you have driven by the big bull at Clearwater Junction. I was in the area last week and recalled a conversation about it not being there anymore so I had to snap a picture so that I could win an argument. With a woman. But what I haven't told her is that after a little looking into it, the big bull WAS not there briefly, earlier this year.

My Pics From Two Awesome Montana Tourist Attractions This Weekend

It's kind of sad that the only time my family really gets out to see the sights of Montana is when we have visitors from out of state come to stay. So thank goodness we have plenty of visitors that head our way! I know, we're kind of lame when it comes to getting out and exploring on our own. But in my defense - one of our daughters was only a month old when we moved to town. That's not exactly the prime age for setting out on adventures with kids in tow. The next summer she was just turning one, and road trips were still quite an undertaking. And then we follow it up with the cluster that the summer of 2020 turned into last year. So this is really the first year we've felt like the training wheels were off and packing up for a day trip was more of a doable option.
