Judges overrules release of accused US Capitol attacker Cody Mattice

Mattice, 28, was initially in court last week for a detention hearing because government prosecutors felt he was a flight risk and a danger to the community. No decision was made at the time because the judge wanted to review video evidence the government says it has that proves Mattice was at the U.S. Capital on Jan. 6 and participated in the riot.

Monroe County Department of Public Health warns of possible COVID-19 exposure at Ogden church

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Monroe County Department of Public Health is warning of a possible COVID-19 exposure at Calvary Chapel Westside on Sunday. The health department is warning anyone who attended the 9 a.m. service on Oct. 17 at the Ogden church that at least one person who attended the service tested positive for COVID-19, and that person may have come into close contact with others.

Monroe County to offer vaccine incentives

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe County Executive Adam Bello Thursday announced that schools will soon start offering rapid PCR COVID-19 tests on-site.
