MCCC TO HOST 24 SUMMER CAMPS FOR KIDS FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2019

Monroe County Community College has announced the camps available for its 2022 FUNdamentals Summer Camps program for the first time since 2019. MCCC will host 24 camps on the college’s Main Campus at 1555 S. Raisnville Rd. in Monroe, MI. Most of the camps are half-day or several hour, week-long sessions. Costs for the camps range from free to $159, with the majority ranging from $29 to $99. Some camps do have clothing or footwear requirements for safety reasons.

Missing toddler from Michigan found at BG hotel

A missing toddler from Michigan was located in Bowling Green Monday evening, according to BGPD Lt. Adam Skaff. Staff at a local hotel reportedly received a phone call from the Monroe, Michigan, police department about the missing 2-year-old girl. Local and state authorities had issued an Endangered and Missing Advisory for the toddler, who was believed to be purposely hidden from officials by her mother and grandmother.

Collapsed drainage tile closes Chamberlain Drive

The Monroe County Road Commission has closed Chamberlain Drive at Spring Brook southwest of the Knepper Rd. intersection due to a collapsed drainage tile.
