JASPER COUNTY — Jasper County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested a DeMotte man for the alleged theft of several items in rural Jasper County this summer. Ronald L. Wireman, 53, was charged with two counts of theft, including the theft of property valuing between $750 and $50,000, which carries a Level 6 felony.

Eighteen New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Tri-County Area

MONTICELLO — A Monticello family is taking its cattle-producing farm into the e-commerce world — and, in the process, owning a piece of cyberspace. The Roaches — Rick, Sharon and Richard Roach, and Courtney Dyer — are now one of 17 families taking part in selling their beef products online at betterfedbeef.com. A Saturday evening collision between a motorcycle and car near Monticello ended with one Logansport resident dead and another hospitalized. Stacy Collins, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene, said White County Sheriff Bill Brooks. City to be paid back funds for Market Street work

In a rare occurrence, the city of Logansport will be refunded monies. A notice submitted by First Group Engineering Inc. of Indianapolis stated that a change order for overruns and underruns of items was required by the Indiana Department of Transportation. So, on Wednesday, the Logansport Board of Public Works and Safety accepted the return of $5,979.73 initially paid out for work on Market Street.
