Cooking fire leaves Baker home with 'substantial' damage; no injuries reported

BAKER — Firefighters responded to a cooking fire that caused substantial damage to the interior of a home in the Milligan community just two days before Thanksgiving. Crews from the Crestview Fire Department were called to assist the Baker Fire District and North Okaloosa Fire District at a home on State Road 4 just south of the Gator Café at 11:38 a.m. on Tuesday, according to a CFD Facebook post.
