(Potosi) An inmate at the Potosi Correctional Center has died. Authorities say Kevin Andrews was a 42 year old male serving a 15 year sentence for possession of a controlled substance, two counts of first degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action, two counts of kidnapping and two counts of first degree burglary from St. Louis County.

(Farmington) Five people were injured in a two vehicle traffic accident Sunday afternoon on Route D at O’Bannon Road in St. Francois County. Lady Eagles Seek Revenge After Last Season

Experience Is Sullivan’s Biggest Strength This Season. The Lady Eagles volleyball team came up short at districts last year and are looking to improve during the new season. Sullivan finished with a record of 12-15-6 last season. This was an extreme improvement from the prior season, which ended 8-20-3. Immekus was previously the assistant coach and took over after Bill Kackley’s retirement. Immekus has taught in Sullivan since 2015 and joined the coaching staff as the assistant during the same year.

Mrs. Peery was a retired cook with the Festus R-6 School District and a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, where she was a volunteer with the Adoration Chapel. She was a former Cub Scout den mother and a 20-year volunteer with Jefferson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and having lunch with her card-club friends. Born July 25, 1935, in River Aux Vases, she was the daughter of the late Lorine (Lipp) and Coleman Thomure. She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Thomas “Bob” Peery.
