UWO offering security device to theft-vulnerable vehicles

University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh police are getting proactive to prevent vehicle thefts on campus. After a pair of Kia vehicles were stolen last week amid a national trend, the UW-Oshkosh Police Department is offering free security devices to members of the University community who own the vulnerable Kias and Hyundais and have an overnight parking permit.

Crash Champions Adds New Locations in New Jersey, Wisconsin

Crash Champions, LLC announced it has acquired Robbie’s Auto in Dover, N.J., Total Auto Body in Grafton, Wis., and Racine Auto Body in Racine, Wis. With the addition of Robbie’s Auto, Crash Champions marks its first entrance into the New Jersey market, a natural complement to the Pennsylvania presence the company gained following its acquisition of Signature Collision Centers earlier this year. 1896 Bicycle Factory Has Quite A History

When the A.D. Meiselbach bicycle factory opened on July 16, 1896, the two-building complex with 150,000 square feet of space on five acres was one of the largest factories outside the city limits. The nation’s bicycle craze was in full swing, and young William Harley, then 15, got a job there, the future engineer rising rapidly to draftsman. After a few years he took his experience with him to Barth Bicycle Company, where he began to seriously pursue his plans for a motorized bicycle, leading to the launch of the Harley-Davidson in 1903.

Custom Car Show returns this weekend at Grady Park

Hundreds of classic cars, vintage snowmobiles, trucks, motorcycles and more will be returning to Saukville this weekend for the village’s 33rd annual Custom Car Show.
