Suspect in Custody After BPD Officers Recover Loaded Firearm, Drugs and Cash During Traffic Stop in Roxbury

At about 6:45 PM on Thursday, October 14, 2021, officers assigned to the BPD Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Michael Nguyen, 21, of Quincy on firearm and drug-related charges following a traffic stop in the area of 25 Stoughton Street in Dorchester. The officers had stopped a motor vehicle for an equipment violation when they discovered a loaded 9mm Glock 48 handgun equipped with a laser sight, several bags of marijuana packaged for sale and more than two thousand dollars in cash inside the passenger area of the vehicle.

Police officer, 3 others taken to hospital after overnight crash in Boston

BOSTON — Four people, including a Boston police officer, were taken to the hospital early Saturday morning after a crash involving a police cruiser. The collision occurred around 3 a.m. at the intersection of Warren Street and MLK Boulevard.
