HARBESON – Two men are facing multiple charges after being arrested for possession of drugs during a traffic stop near Harbeson. One of the men was wanted for home invasion. Around 4 p.m. on January 13t,the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force (GTF) assisted the First State Task Force and Delaware State Police Special Operations Team (SORT) with finding and arresting 21-year-old Jhareed A. Ayers of Lewes. Police say Ayers was wanted for a home invasion involving a firearm, and aggravated menacing involving a gun.

Ayers, 21 of Lewes, who was wanted by Troop 4 Major Crimes for a Home Invasion involving a firearm as well as an Aggravated Menacing complaint involving a gun out of Troop 7.

“The Bright House, the largest hotel at Rehoboth,” the Wilmington Evening Journal reported on Dec. 5, 1893, “was totally destroyed by fire last night. The large frame building made a great blaze and it was plainly seen for miles around. The fire was discovered early and, as a stiff breeze was blowing at the time, the large hotel was in ruins in a short time.”

SEAFORD, Del./SALISBURY, Md.- TidalHealth is updating its masking policy for its both of its hospitals. Starting Monday, TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford and TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, will no longer be allowing cloth masks to be worn as facial protection by people arriving for procedures, testing, or as support persons.
