Maryland State Police arrest suspect in West OC homicide

WEST OCEAN CITY, Md. – Maryland State Police have made an arrest in Monday’s homicide in West Ocean City. The incident happened shortly after 4:30 p.m., at a motel complex in the 9000 block of Elm Street. On arrival, police found the victim lying in the parking lot unresponsive with trauma to the neck area. EMS responded to the scene and provided medical support, but the victim, identified as 37-year-old Nicholas Pittman, was pronounced dead inside the ambulance a short time later.r.

Police Identify Victims Killed At Georgetown Restaurant Saturday, Release Possible Vehicle Info

The Delaware State Police has identified the victims involved in the Georgetown double homicide that occurred at the El Nopalito Restaurant on Saturday. Offices said that 31-year old Armando Vicente Chilel Lopez of Georgetown and 28-year-old Honorio Velasquez of Bridgeville were shot and killed by a gunman that had returned to the restaurant after being asked to leave.

The family of Brandon Roberts, the Milford man shot and killed by police in January 2020, is suing the city of Milford and the two officers who shot him in federal court. The wrongful death lawsuit claims Cpl. Nigel Golding and Patrolman Patrick Karpin violated Roberts’ Fourth Amendment rights and the city violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Police Charge Roommate With Killing Man At West Ocean City Motel

Maryland State Police arrested a suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a man found dead yesterday in a motel parking lot in Worcester County according to police. police said the suspect is identified as Sherronte Maurice Robins, 40, of Ocean City, Maryland. Robins was arrested at 10:30 p.m. last night. After consultation with the Worcester County State’s Attorney, Robins was charged with first- and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment. He was transported to the Worcester County Detention Center for an initial appearance before a court commissioner.

Pursuit leads to multiple charges for Dover man

HARRINGTON, Del. – A late night police chase led to charges for a Dover man. Shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday, police observed a vehicle exit the parking lot of the Royal Farms located off of South Dupont Highway in Harrington. When the vehicle left the parking lot, it began to travel southbound in the northbound lanes of South Dupont Highway, and police attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop and led police on a chase through several streets within the City of Harrington.

Delaware State Police Conducting Double Homicide Investigation- Georgetown

Georgetown- Delaware State Police are conducting a double homicide investigation that occurred Saturday night in Georgetown. On January 22, 2022, at approximately 7:28 p.m., the Georgetown Police Department and Delaware State Police responded to the El Nopalito Restaurant, located at 22095 DuPont Blvd, Georgetown, Delaware for a report of two people shot at the business. Through the investigation it was learned that a group of Hispanic males had been asked to leave the restaurant earlier in the night due to their disorderly behavior and having a dispute with other patrons. Two of the males that were previously asked to leave returned to the business, both wearing masks. One of the suspects approached a 31-year-old male victim and removed a necklace from his neck. The victim lunged at the suspect that stole the neckless which caused the second suspect to remove a handgun from his waistband and shoot the victim. During the course of the suspects fleeing the restaurant, the second suspect fired a second round into the dining area which struck a 28-year-old male victim.
