A University of Utah football player from Mesquite has been killed in a shooting at a house party in Salt Lake City early Sunday. Police said the shooting that killed Aaron Lowe happened just after midnight, in the Salt Lake City neighborhood of Sugar House. It was just hours after the Utes beat Washington State 24-13.

As H-E-B plans its entry into Dallas-Fort Worth late next year, Walmart, its Sam’s Club and Kroger now control more than half of the D-FW grocery market. The combined market share of No. 1 Walmart and No. 5 Sam’s jumped to 34.2% this year vs. 29.9% in 2019 before the pandemic started. Wing Snob soft-opened in September at 1654 FM 423, Frisco. The buffalo wings shop offers boneless and traditional pieces alongside chicken tenders and cauliflower wings. A Dallas-area couple says they were recently asked by a restaurant to either take off their face masks or leave the establishment. Natalie Wester and Jose Lopez said they were meeting friends at Hang Time Sports Grill & Bar in Rowlett on the night of Sept. 10 and that after placing an order for drinks and an appetizer their waitress said they needed to remove their face masks or leave.
