Mike Covey to host “Plow Days” near Princeton on December 4th

“Plow Days” will be held near Princeton on December 4, 2021. The event will be held on land owned by Mike Covey and will start at 9 am. The directions to Plow Days are to proceed two miles west of Princeton to Route P, head north on Route P for seven miles, turn east onto Cher Road, and follow the signs.

Princeton man facing felony assault and peace disturbance charges for incident on the Princeton square

The Mercer County Sheriff reports an individual allegedly waving a pipe and threatening people sent officers to the west side of the Princeton square on Friday night. Officers with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol detained a male. The sheriff’s office said further investigation revealed that an assault had occurred. The suspect was taken to the Mercer County Jail and a report was made for the prosecuting attorney to review.

USDA accepting applications for loans and Grants to assist those in rural areas in obtaining high-speed internet access

U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced the Department has begun accepting applications for up to $1.15 billion in loans and grants to help people in rural areas get access to high-speed internet. This announcement comes on the heels of the recently enacted Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which provides another nearly $2 billion in additional funding for the ReConnect program. USDA anticipates issuing a new Notice of Funding Opportunity to make the additional funds in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law available in 2022.

A Spickard Man Died In A Motorcycle Accident Saturday

A motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon in Grundy County took the life of the driver. State Troopers report 62-year-old Bradley A Collins of Spickard died at the scene of the accident that happened at about 4:00 pm on Route C at Spickard. According to the report, Collins was eastbound when he failed to make it through a curve, crossed the centerline, and ran off the north side of the road. He struck an embankment and was ejected from the motorcycle. The report indicates he was not wearing a helmet.

A 62-year-old man was killed in a vehicle crash early Saturday evening on State Route-C in Grundy County. Bradlyey Collins, Spickard, Missouri, was riding a Harley Davidson at 4 p.m. on the state route in Spickard when he wiped out on a turn, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports.

(Grundy County, Mo.) A man from Spickard, Missouri was killed following a motorcycle crash Saturday around 4 p.m. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Bradley Collins, 62, of Spickard was driving eastbound on Route C, failed to negotiate a curve, and traveled off the north side of the road. The motorcycle then struck an embankment, ejecting Collins.

A resident of Spickard was killed Saturday afternoon at approximately 4 pm while riding his motorcycle on Route C near Spickard. Sixty-Two-year-old Bradley Collins was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Deputy Coroner Steve Tracy at 5:02 pm. The body was transported to the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.

A 27-year-old Humphreys man died in an accident Tuesday morning near Humphreys. Twenty-seven-year-old Dakota W Dalton was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on Missouri 139.
