Church groups to 'love on Norwalk'

NORWALK — Main Street will shut down for two hours Saturday evening so church members can show love to the people of Norwalk. Jeff Watson, pastor of Norwalk’s Foundation Church, said Love Norwalk, an annual charitable event, will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., with donations of goods and services and fun events for everyone. The religiously-themed celebration will feature the efforts of eight area churches, including his own, Watson said.

Improvements wrapping up at Port Bucyrus Airport

BUCYRUS – Work is underway on a $2.1 million improvement project to extend the taxiway at Port Bucyrus-Crawford County Airport south of town. Blacktop work on the taxiway surface started on Monday. The overall project, however, was delayed because it was too wet to trench the area in the spring, according to airport manager Kevin DeTray.
