Woman arrested in connection with meth, fentanyl investigation in Marion, Ill.

MARION, Ill. (KFVS) - A woman was arrested in connection with a methamphetamine and fentanyl investigation in southern Illinois. Lacy Wagner, 32, was arrested and charged with two counts of delivery of fentanyl within 500 feet of a park, possession of 100-400 grams of meth with the intent to deliver and possession of 15-100 grams of fentanyl with the intent to deliver.

Local Sports Recap – September 26, 2022

Back on Friday the Carmi-White County Bulldogs defeated the Fairfield Mules on Homecoming by a final score of 38-12. It was a rough first half for the Bulldogs who trailed at intermission 12 to 8. But a dominant third-quarter from both the offense and the defense helped the Bulldogs outscore the Mules 30-0 in the 2nd half and lead them to their first win over Fairfield since 2012. Isaac King rushed for 235 yards with a touchdown, and Draxtyn Aud rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Warren Legg also ran in two touchdowns of his own. The Bulldogs are 5-0 for the first time since 2011 and they look to improve to 6-0 this Friday when they travel to Edwards County to face the winless Lions. Fans that can’t attend the game will be able to listen to it live on 97.3 WRUL but we will not provide a YouTube video stream for the game due to the lack of room inside the Edwards County press box.

Prosecution’s Motions Expected to Be Heard Tuesday in Final Pre-Trial for Brodey Murbarger

FAIRFIELD – Wayne County prosecutors recently filed motions seeking to admit text messages and proof of other crimes in a murder trial next month. A final pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for Tuesday charging Brodey Murbarger of strangling his girlfriend Megan Nichols to death in her Fairfield home nearly 10 years ago and then disposing of her body in a shallow grave in rural Wayne County.

SEB Volleyball Set to Compete at Webber Smackdown Volleyball Tournament Saturday
