Officials searching for missing man out of McCurtain Co.

McCURTAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KSLA) - The McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for a missing man. The sheriff’s office posted on Facebook on Aug. 3 about Eric Michael Haley, 38, being missing. Haley is described as a white male who 5′ 8″ tall; he has blue eyes.

Mussett Charged With Wife’s Murder

Forty-three-year-old Brian Mussett has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife, 50-yeara-old Melissa Hughes Mussett. Her body was found in a tent in a rural area near Broken Bow in McCurtain County. Brian Mussett is listed on police reports as being homeless, but has ties to Idabel and De Queen, Arkansas. A preliminary hearing has been set for August 11.

Passenger thrown off vessel in single-boat collision in McCurtain Co.

MCCURTAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - A passenger was thrown and injured in a single-boat crash on Pine Lake Monday night. Police said Kirklan Loman, 24, of Haworth, traveled on a Skeeter bass boat southbound about 20 miles per hour on Pine Creek Lake, approximately 5.7 miles northwest of Wright City, when he turned east and hit a rock shoreline. The vessel ran aground approximately 6 feet around 9:30 p.m.

Fatal McCurtain County Crash

One man was killed and three injured in a three vehicle crash in on Hwy 3 in McCurtain County Friday night. Oklahoma troopers say 31-year-old Justin Williston of Idabel crossed the center line and hit 2 vehicles. Williston and a passenger suffered head and internal injuries. The driver of one other car was not injured. A passenger in the third vehicle, 45-year-old Nicky James II of Texarkana was pronounced dead at the scene.
