MCCOOK COUNTY, S.D. (KELO) — Rep. Dusty Johnson is South Dakota’s only member of the House of Representatives, but he was not the only member of the House in McCook County on Tuesday. Joining Johnson was Glenn Thompson, a Pennsylvania Republican who represents a western section of the state in Congress. The two congressmen were part of an roundtable on agriculture.

Commission supports expanding Vermillion Basin WDD

Lake County Commissioners indicated on Tuesday morning they continue to support efforts to expand the Vermillion Basin Water Development District. Both Brad Preheim, manager of the Vermillion Basin Water Development District, and Jay Gilbertson, manager of the East Dakota Water Development District, were present to review the concept, which commissioners had previously voted to support.
