Long Island couple found shot dead in home: cops

A young Long Island couple was found shot dead at home Thursday — possibly the result of a double suicide or murder-suicide, according to authorities and a report. Destiny Leinfus, 20, and Gavin Bifalco, 19, were found dead from gunshot wounds inside her parents’ Park Circle home in Shirley around 4:50 p.m., Suffolk County Police said.  Detectives continued to investigate Friday who fired the shots — but said it appeared one or both of the duo died of self-inflicted injuries.  Police could not confirm the pair’s relationship Friday, but Newsday reported that the two were boyfriend and girlfriend. Both lived with Leinfus’ parents.  Autopsies will be conducted by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, authorities said.
