Commissioners make donation to river museum

Members of the Mason County Commission recently presented a $10,000 donation to the future home of the Point Pleasant River Museum and Lakin Ray Cook Learning Center. The museum is presently under construction at 320 Main Street in Point Pleasant. Hannan Prom royalty crowned

Hannan High School students and their invited guests recently attended the Junior-Senior Prom. Royalty crowned during the evening were Queen Allie Cade and King Justin Rainey. Hannah Rainey was crowned as the Princess, while Xavier Stone was named Prince.

Moose Lodge benefits graduates

POINT PLEASANT — Seniors at all three county high schools will be sharing in $2,100 worth of scholarships, compliments of the Point Pleasant Moose Lodge #731. The lodge held its monthly Monday night Charity Bingo in May, and raised the total for scholarships at Point Pleasant, Wahama, and Hannan high schools.

Wahama High School students and their invited guests celebrated the Junior-Senior Prom on Saturday evening at the Mason County Board of Education office in Point Pleasant. Summer feeding program available for children

MASON COUNTY — The Mason County Board of Education Office of Child Nutrition announces their sponsorship of the federally funded Summer Food Service Program. Christina Nelson is the new director of child nutrition with the Mason County Board of Education, and said the program will include breakfast and lunch, and is open to all children ages 18 years and under.
