Nina Bell Cottle, 95

Nina Bell Cottle, age 95, of Mason, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in Early, Texas. Nina was born December 18, 1926 in Mason County Texas to Herman Ake, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Creech) Ake. As a child, she worked in the cotton fields as she grew up. She married Paul Ray Cottle on January 28, 1946 in Rochelle, Texas.

McCulloch, Mason Commissioners to Hold Joint Workshop to Discuss Subdivision Regulations

The McCulloch County Commissioners will take part in a workshop in Mason with the Mason County Commissioners this Friday as they will discuss subdivision regulations. Both Commissioners’ Courts have been reviewing and discussing the need for upgrading subdivision regulations at the county level. The meeting will be at the MB Eckert Memorial Library in Mason starting at 10AM. No action will be taken at this meeting.

Hardin Wins Primary Election for Mason County Judge

Sheree Hardin won the Primary Election for County Judge on Tuesday, March 1, 2021, with a total of 1,106 votes to Cindy Jones’ 333. In Tuesday’s Primary Election, Mason County voters elected Sheree Hardin as their new County Judge in a race that drew many to the polls. Hardin will replace Judge Jerry Bearden, who has served in that office since 2003. Hardin received 1106 votes, and her opponent Cindy Jones, 333. In a statement relased to the Mason County News, Hardin said: “Thank you, Mason County, for using your voice in this election.
