Marshall County Veterans Park Dedication

The Marshall County Area Veterans Memorial Park Committee has announced a date to dedicate the park. The dedication will be held on Tuesday, June 22 nd at 7PM. The Dedication of the Outdoor portion of the Memorial Park will take place on the west side of the Marshall County Courthouse in Warren.

2nd Week of Outreach for Marshall County Central School Referendum

This week continues outreach by Marshall County Central school district officials as they engage school district residents about plans for construction. The school district has large additions planned for the high school located in Newfolden, the elementary school in Viking along with a complete removal of the elementary school in Newfolden which will be replaced by a new Northwest Regional Inter-District Council building.

Marshall County Central Board Members to Discuss Referendum out in the Community

The Marshall County Central School district has decided to pursue improvements to address their current needs and plan for the future of education in our district. The district recently announced a proposed referendum to district residents that will be decided later this summer by voters. The referendum would involve additions and improvements at the MCC High School and current Viking Elementary. The Newfolden Elementary would be torn down and replaced by a new space for the Northwest Regional Inter-District Council as well as overflow parking for school events.

Marshall County social studies teacher accused of inappropriate behavior resigns

NEWFOLDEN, Minn. — The Marshall County Central School Board voted to OK the resignation of high school social studies teacher Eric Mimnaugh. It came with an agreement, however Superintendent Jeff Lund said he could not disclose the agreement.
