Intoxicated man arrested after attacking man at scene of fire

OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Wyoming County man faces charges after initiating a physical altercation at an emergency scene earlier in the month. Reports from Patrolman Todd Reiley indicate that on Friday, November 18, 2022, at approximately 12:55 am, Patrolman Reiley was on scene at a structure fire with the Oceana Fire Department when an altercation began between Rodney Walker and another male whose name has been redacted.

West Virginia town decorates special holiday mailbox featuring painting of Polar Express

WILLIAMSON, WV (WOWK) — The City of Williamson, West Virginia, created a special way for Tug Valley kids to get their letters sent to Santa this holiday season. Meador man arrested on domestic abuse charges

A Mingo County man was arrested on Nov. 19 by members of the Mingo County Sheriff’s Office and the Gilbert Police Department on several domestic violence-related charges. According to a criminal complaint filed with the Mingo County Magistrate Court, Willie Wayne McCoy, 45, of Meador was arrested on charges of domestic violence, strangulation, abuse or neglect of an incapacitated adult, unlawful restraint and interfering with emergency communications.

Coalfield CAP hosts painting class

Mingo County 4-H volunteers assist attendees at the Coalfield CAP Senior Citizens Center with a painting project on Monday, Nov. 21. The group painted a wooden cutout of three pumpkins stacked atop of each other. According to Mingo County 4-H Agent Tammy Estep both the volunteers and project participants had a fun time during the painting class. 4-H volunteers helped participants with brush selection and making sure all needed materials were available.
