Dr. Milad Nourahmadi, who has had a sales agreement in place with Mint IL LLC since late 2021, said he’s terminating that contract this month and is putting the property back on the market for sale or lease.

3 women mugged by man who escapes in a U-Haul truck, Chicago police say

Chicago — Three women, including a 72-year-old and a 62-year-old, have been mugged this week on the North Side by a man who escaped in a small U-Haul box truck. After robbing the women, the offender quickly drives to a store, usually Target, and uses the victim’s credit cards to buy merchandise and gift cards.

Missing Berwyn grandfather found dead in North Riverside

CHICAGO - A Berwyn grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of four who went missing last week was found dead on Tuesday. Jose Arevalo, 83, was discovered around 11 a.m. near Cermak and Harlem in North Riverside. His body was found in an overflow parking lot of an auto dealership, Berwyn police said.

CHICAGO — A woman was sentenced to 25 years in prison for robbery where her former boyfriend killed six people in Chicago, Illinois, in 2016. The woman, Jafeth Ramos, 25, reportedly watched her ex-boyfriend, Uribe Cruz, kill six members of his family at their house in Chicago in Feb. 2016, according to The Associated Press. The six family members who were killed included two young boys. Ramos helped Cruz steal from the house after the murders.

Pritzker signs SAFE-T Act amendments into law

CHICAGO, Ill. (WIFR) - Governor JB Pritzker signed on Tuesday a series of amendments and clarifications to the SAFE-T Act, originally passed in 2021. House bill 1095, which passed both Illinois congressional chambers this week, clarifies the processes for transitioning to cashless bail on January 1, 2023—specifying definitions of willful flight and dangerousness and other changes.
