RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Motorcyclists died in separate crashes on the highway through Virginia City less than 45 minutes apart Sunday afternoon. Minutes after the second motorcycle fatality on Nevada 341, a vehicle involved in a two-vehicle crash on Nevada 88 in Douglas County rolled and ended up upside down in the water in the West Fork of the Carson River, the Nevada State Police said. A person was taken by medical helicopter from that crash but was later declared dead.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a missing woman who was last seen leaving her home in Fernley. 37 year old Breanne Sedgwick, was last seen around 9 a.m. on Monday. She left her home in a 2001 maroon Chevrolet pickup with a blue hood. According to the sheriff’s office, she said she was going to the store and has not been heard from since. She is described as Caucasian, 5′8″, 225 lbs, with brown hair and green highlights.

The pretrial hearing Tuesday for Troy Driver, the man charged with kidnapping and murdering Naomi Irion, was continued to July 5 as a pretrial hearing. Lyon County District Attorney Steve Rye requested the hearing in Canal Township Justice Court be continued for 45 to 60 days and held as a pretrial hearing.
