HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A gray 4 door car was involved in a crash on Summit Valley Road in Hesperia Saturday afternoon. California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Sheriffs and San Bernardino County Fire Department were called to the scene at about 3:30pm Saturday, July 31, 2021. The driver of a dark gray Toyota Matrix car was on Summit Valley Rd. And some how missed the slow speed turn and went off the road down the embankment. The crash was located at one of the slow speed turns on Summit Valley Rd. just before Highway 138. The vehicle went down the embankment about 15 to 20 feet,off the right shoulder of the road.

Obernolte secures $11 million in federal funding for 8th District, including $4.7 million for High Desert projects

Millions in federal funding will go toward several community projects, including the widening of a stretch of Maple Avenue in Hesperia, Rep. Jay Obernolte announced Friday. Obernolte, R-Hesperia, said he secured $11 million for projects across his 8th District — money that is now expected to go, in part, toward boosting infrastructure in places like Adelanto and Apple Valley in addition to Hesperia.
