DAWSON (KMHL) – U.S. Marshals and local law enforcement arrested a suspect in Dawson Friday night from a quadruple shooting that occurred in St. Cloud in July. Daquan Christopher Ledbetter, 28, is being held in the Chippewa County Jail in Montevideo after his arrest on a Stearns County warrant. According to a criminal complaint, Ledbetter is among three men charged in a July 6 shooting in St. Cloud.
(KNSI) — The third suspect wanted in connection to a quadruple shooting in St. Cloud last month is in custody. Twenty-eight-year-old Daquan Ledbetter was arrested in Chippewa County after a standoff Friday night. The U.S. Marshals Service tracked Ledbetter to a home in Dawson. Members of the Marshals Service, Dawson Police Department, Lac Qui Parle Sheriff’s Department, the West Central SWAT team, and the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force worked to get Ledbetter into custody after he allegedly refused to come out of the home for more than three hours. He eventually surrendered without further incident. No one was hurt.

It appears that the Hancock Daycare group will have to wait longer for a decision from the Stevens County Commissioners in regard to their application for funding for a daycare center in Hancock. The group applied for a portion of the funds that the county had received from the American Rescue Plan Act and set aside to address a daycare shortage in the county. The County Commissioners had approved spending $1 million of the $1.9 million the county received in ARPA funds to find ways to bring in more daycare opportunities.
